Blind since birth, Tsujii has learned his repertoire largely by ear. Since winning the 2009
Van Cliburn Competition, he has achieved rock star status in Japan. With a degree of technical security almost all sighted pianist might envy, Tsujii’s high octane recitals and performances with world-renowned symphony orchestras has garnered numerous critical acclaims.

Tsujii has given recitals in major cities across North America including Carnegie Hall’s
Stern Auditorium in New York, Washington D.C, Boston, Vancouver and he frequently appearsat Europe’s most prestigious venues including London’s Royal Albert Hall and the Berlin Philharmonie. As a concerto soloist Nobu has appeared among others with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Seattle Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
